Our Castile Soap is made with a traditional hot process soap making method, which creates a nontoxic, lathering and biodegradable soap. The natural alkaline (basic) properties of castile soap makes it ideal for cutting through grease as a household cleaner and the natural vegetable glycerin produced in the soap making process creates a moisturizing base for hand soaps. A very versatile soap indeed!
